19TH CENTURY LOCAL HISTORY AND WEBSITE DESIGN

Background: As a teacher of history it's important to spur our students interest in history, to make them familiar with different kind of sources and in the end give them the tools to become competent critical thinkers with a positive attitude towards the history topic. Today its also important to make them familiar with how ICT can make their learning easier and more active. When I put together a course in local history ("History of Gothenburg - The Haga Project").

Module Objectives: By the end of the module delegates will be able to add photos and handwritten material to a webpage made in Dreamweaver. The delegates will also have an insight in how students can work with local history in local archives.
