As part of e-helps common topic Women in the 20th Century I will try to make a summary of Swedish Women's History and the establishment and progress of the Swedish Women's movement. I will start with some brief notes about the different district laws in the 1200's and then cover the major events/characters up till today, with a special focus on the development during the 20th Century. Note that these pages does not have the ambition to give a complete account of this development.
Under this text you can find a menu. The amount of material under each subtitle varies a lot. At first you will find the text in Swedish but the articles will be translated into English.
I hope that you as a reader can find something of interest for you! I have tried to give the exact sources to the text (+ paintings and photos) I used when I created these pages. My major role has been to gather different texts, edit them and try to put them together in an organized manner so it's readable - a lot of different individuals and institutions has done the actual research.
