PURPOSE: The purpose is to present different countries / continents progress and development during the period. This presentation will be a summary/conclusion of the major events/characters and the affect they had on the choosen country/continent. The idea is to become familiar with the most important historical events/characters and the chronology of the period. It will serve as a background to later events.
MATERIAL: Living World History pages 422-553 and other written reliable sources...
PRESENTATION: PP (Power Point) Presentation or something similar. Max 10 minutes per topic!
GRADES
G: VISUAL & AUDIO PRESENTATION:
The student has used the course literature and basically just relates to what has been written in this book.
The presentation does not have an overview or a plan - or it's very poor.
The presentation has few main points and the period is not very well covered (content).
There is no summary/conclusion or it's a poor summary/conclusion.
The presentation does not use any visual and/or audio aid except for the basic PP presentation.
There is some sign of an attempt to organize the material but it’s not completely clear.
The performance time is well under the given amount or the presentation was not completed when time ran out.
It was a basic performance - the presentation form was OK but more effort could have been done to make it more interesting. No extra effort has been made to point out interesting historical questions.
The general fluence could be better.
VG: VISUAL & AUDIO PRESENTATION:
The student has used more than just the course literature which is detectable in the text.
The presentation starts with an overview - a plan, but it's not completely clear.
The presentation has a fair amount of main points and the period is fairly well covered (content).
There is a summary/conclusion.
The presentation uses some visual and/or audio aid beyond a basic PP presentation.
The organization of the work is in general good and clear.
The presentation was within the time-limit - close to the maximum time given.
It was a fairly good performance - quite interesting. Some efforts have been made to point out interesting historical questions.
The fluency is OK.
MVG: VISUAL & AUDIO PRESENTATION:
The student has used several different sources which is clearly visible in the work.
The presentation starts with an overview - a plan, and it's completely clear.
The presentation has a good amount of main points and the period is well covered (content).
There is clear and well expressed summary/conclusion.
The presentation uses good visual and/or audio aid beyond a basic PP presentation. It clearly shows the possibilities with a presentation based on visual and audio sources.
The organization of the presentation is good and very clear. It also shows creativity as well as some deeper knowledge
The presentation was within the time-limit - close to the maximum time given. The time was also used well.
It was a good performance - very interesting.
The work done reveals a substantial effort and reveals great knowledge.

It was obviously rehearsed and the time was used well.
